We have been monitoring the weather conditions overnight and throughout this morning. Due to the current conditions and predicted weather outlook for this morning, we have made the difficult decision to CANCEL today's Race to Wrigley presented by AbbVie.
Current and expected conditions do not allow us to safely proceed with the event. If not already at the event, we ask that participants, volunteers, spectators and staff DO NOT report to the event this morning.
The safety of our athletes, volunteers, staff and partners must be our priority. We know how much training and anticipation went into this year's race and we share your disappointment.
We invite all participants to visit the neighboring partner bars to redeem their beverage.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and support. We will be in contact with more details via email about medal redemption at a later date.

Event Description
Calling all runners!
Step up to the plate for Chicago's youth during the 21st Annual Race to Wrigley 5K Charity Run Presented by AbbVie scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Wrigley Field. As we get closer to race day more information and details on the race will be provided.
- Runners will race through the Lakeview neighborhood before entering Wrigley Field and will cross the finish line just steps away from the Wrigley Field Marquee. Runners will have a chance to run on the warning track on the field as a part of the race course.
- Runners are also able to participate in the race virtually. You can map out a 5K course of your own and complete the race.
Proceeds from the race will benefit Cubs Charities and its mission to invest in people, places, and programs to level the playing field for Chicago’s youth. As the Champion Partner of the race, we’re not just running — we’re racing toward hope. If you select Advocate Health Care to receive the proceeds from your personal fundraising, every dollar you raise helps ensure children and teens have access to behavioral health care when and where they need it most through Advocate Children’s Hospital.
